Thanksgiving
This break I did not really do anything because I was sick for most of it. On Thanksgiving, I had two meals. I went to my uncle's on my dads side then my house for my moms side. I am pretty sure I gained about five pounds this week. I had to work on Black Friday 9-5 which was absolutely awful! I have never worked eight hours before so it was awful! After Black Friday, that is when I got really sick and so i did not leave my house till today for school. :(

A modest proposal questions
1) Swift uses satire and irony to create the author.
2).to call attention to abuses inflicted on Irish Catholics by well-to-do English Protestants.
3) The reader begins to realize this story is ironic about halfway during the essay.
4) The irish are victims to him and he also believes that they are to blame.
5) Swift does present serious topics. When he said stuff about the irish men and how they are living on the streets that was not suppose to be a satire moment it was suppose to be a fact.
6) The narrator breaks it down into satire, irony, and then the last paragraph actually talkes about what swift believes in.
7) The moment that the narrator wanted to create for sure had a moment of impact that the author wanted. The last paragraph the author stopped being funny and actually talked about what he wanted to say and the importance it had to him.
9) the word modest in the title is used a joke i think because it defiantly is not modest so i think the author wanted the readers to pick up on that it is not a joke, it is a serious issue.
10) In the essay, there are so many sentences used with sarcasm. I think the whole essay is sarcasm except for the last paragraph.
11) The modest proposal has political issues more than contemporary issues because it talks about all the rich and poor irish people living either on the streets or in really rich homes. you can not be just in the happy medium.

Why I Want a Wife- Judy Brady (Syfers) Questions
1) Does this essay have an explicitly stated thesis? If so, what is it? If you believe the thesis is implied, paraphrase it in your own words. Wifes are not meant to be slaves so the thesis statement is implied.
2) When Brady says "I want a wife" he means that his ideal girl would be all the things that he said in his essay.
3) When Brady uses wife instead of personal he or she pronouns, the reader is being sarcastic by saying my wife should do all these stuff when the truth is a wife should not being doing any of those stuff.
4) I do not think that Brady actually wants this wife because shes a girl first of all. This ideal spouse probably does not exist only because the person would have to give up their entire life just to make their spouse happy. Brady wrote this essay out of complete sarcasm because she knows that some guys actually want this in a wife and she knows that its completely impossible.
5) Brady defines her wifes duties as all of the stuff Brady does not want to do. Feeding the kids, bathing the kids, cleaning the house, etc. When Brady wrote this, she wanted her readers to respond kind of angry because when women read this, they know that is not how a normal day is for them if they are stay at home moms.
6) Dear Brady,
When I read your article, I did not agree with any of it. I believe that The husband and the wife should have a equal share when dealing with the kids since they had them together. Also, you say that your wife needs to provide you with sexual needs whenever you want them and I agree with that sometimes but not all the time waiting for you to say oh okay lets go. Your article was a well written sarcastic article.

Not too long ago, my dad was caught cheating. I realized that every person should have the chance to practice free and open love. If your married, your spouse should let you go out to a bar and hook up with a random girl from the bar because your attracted to her. I also think that you should have multiple partners while going out and exploring new partners. Since most older couples have been married for so long, they most likely get bored of the same old stuff they have to deal with, so why not take a week out of your marriage and act single; kind of like a hall pass. The only downside is, is that you never know when your husband or wife is going to leave you because they fall in love with someone else while cheating. I think infeldelity would totally work and that every married couple should get the chance to experience what it feels like because let me tell you; it is a rush.

Lightswitch
I walk into my room and the light was off. I try to turn it on but it would not! All the lights would turn on in my house besides mine so i was starting to get freaked out. It wasnt storming so i was really confused. I light a match and lay in my bed waiting for my parents to come home. All of a sudden,, I hear deep breathing. I close my eyes hoping it was just a dream. I hear the garage and I sprint downstairs. thankfully it was my parents and i tell them that my light wasnt turning on so my dad walks upstairs and turns it on. Embarrassing
