Exercise 1;
When male fashion designers come to mind, people's first thought is that they are gay because they design clothes and are most of the time very flamboyient. In movies, directors make the character seem very gay because it "fits" there description. I don't know any fashion designers but i bet most of them are not gay and that they are happily married. When people think fashion designers, they automically think gay; and let me tell you they are not!
exercise 2;
In the introduction to "They Say/ I Say" the moves that matter uin academic writing, gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein provide templates designed to help writers understand the writing and accepting of both sides of the story. Although some poeple believe there side is right all the time, Graff and Birkenstein insist that a story always has two sides. In sum, then, their view, the types of templates that the authors recommend is to always be open to different theory's.
